Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills. As a Receptionist/Secretary, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with medical billing procedures as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a receptionist or secretary in a medical office preferred
- Proficiency in using Athena or similar medical software
- Strong knowledge of front desk operations and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and medical records management
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
